Planning Permission:
Planning permission is required when you intend to alter the outward appearance of your property or the classification of your property (a change of use). This includes material changes (e.g. from timber windows to upvc windows). Planning permission can generally be obtained within 8 weeks from submission. Occasionally, on more involved applications (termed a major application), this period is increased.
To help reduce the time scales and increase the likelihood of approval we can inform you as to what the planners may feel unreasonable and make recommendations to help you succeed in obtaining planning permission.
Upon your engagement we will visit you at your property and take the required measurements to enable us to draw up existing plans and elevations. We will use these to form the basis of the proposal. We will discuss your ideas with you and send the plans to you for comment and approval. This process takes between 2 and 4 weeks depending on the size of the scheme. Once we have your approval to proceed we will submit the planning application on your behalf, acting as your agent.
If you would like to discuss your requirements further or to request a free quotation please contact jb47.
